B rad Pitt was emotional but calm and Angelina Jolie laughed and chatted during the birth of their twins, a boy and a girl. All "are doing marvelously well," according to the doctor who delivered the babies in a seaside hospital on the French Riviera. The babies, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline , were born one minute apart. For now, mother, father and newborns are resting out of the public eye on the fifth floor of the Lenval hospital, behind windows specially treated to deflect photography. Jolie's obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann , said Pitt, 44, was at Jolie's side Saturday evening during the delivery, looking on as Sussmann performed a Caesarean section. "He was my assistant," the doctor joked. Sussmann said the Caesarean was moved forward from its planned date "for medical reasons" so the babies could be born "in the best conditions." He said Jolie, 33, was expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days and that she now needed rest. Nice-Matin, a daily in the Riviera city in the south of France, put the worth of the twins' photos at more than $11 million. It broke news of the birth and reported Sunday that the couple had sold the rights for the first photo of their expanded family to a U.S. publication, which it did not name, and that the proceeds would go to charity.

What's going on with all of these actors lately?

January 22, 2008 -- Actor Heath Ledger was found dead today in a Broome Street apartment, apparently from a drug overdose.

Ledger was well known for his role in "Brokeback Mountain," and he stars in the upcoming "The Dark Knight" Batman movie as the Joker.

He split last year from wife, Michelle Williams, with whom he has a daughter.

His apartment was strewn with pills, sources said. It was unclear if it was an intentional or accidental death.

Located on Dallas ST.Dallas Mills was a manufacturer of cotton sheeting. The company was chartered in 1890 by T.B. Dallas, and began operation in 1892 as Alabama's largest cotton mill, manufacturing sheeting. In 1891 the company announced that the Dallas Cotton Mill was to be located in Huntsville, Alabama. At the time Huntsville's population was 1,327 citizens.

The mill village extended from Oakwood Avenue, South to O'Shaughnessy Avenue, and West to Dallas Avenue. Employees were provided homes, medical care, churches, library, lodge building, YMCA, concerts, a kindergarten, and schools.

The mill closed in 1949. Dallas Village was incorporated into Huntsville six years later in 1955. Genesco Shoe Company then used the mill building for a distribution operation until 1985. After that the mill was vacant till the building was destroyed by a fire on July 24, 1991 that lasted three days. Now it's an empty lot for sale.
